This registry setting will configure Windows to read the realtime clock as GMT instead of local. Useful for systems which dual-boot other operating systems such as Linux.

  1. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
  2.
  3. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation]
  4. "RealTimeIsUniversal"=dword:00000001
