Billy Mays, too

Holy cow -- I just learned that Billy Mays bought the farm just a little while ago.

I've been watching Discovery Channel's Pitchmen, not even half way through it's first season, and I started to get to know the guy past his annoyingly loud peddling spots on TV.  Wow...

He was found dead in his Florida home by his wife.  Read more »

The day the world stood still

I wouldn't call myself a Michael Jackson fan.  I mean, I like plenty of his music, but I don't favor his work.  Yet, for some reason unknown to me, I still can't believe Michael is gone.  Yeah, it was unexpected (unlike poor Ferrah Fawcett), but I'm still shocked.  I'm impressed with the worldwide reaction, too.  Like George Carlin, I guess I assumed Michael would live forever.

Death of a Colleague

I received an e-mail this morning informing me that the president of Loytec Americas was killed in a car accident a couple of weeks ago. Al Mouton was not a close friend of mine, but his death was shocking to me, and I haven't been able to shake the feeling all day. What a hell of an e-mail to receive, by the way.
